Help if you have a blackberry phone by virgin mobile or any virgin mobile phone?

Is anyone else's SMS not working?? I dont know anyone else who has a virgin mobile phone so i cant ask anyone, please let me know!! Im not recieving text msgs and ppl arent recieving mine, im thinking its the network

Yes, it's the network. Mine has been doing the same thing all day. I believe it had something to do with the hurricane.

My question is that if the phone is ever out of service, can i still get on the web via wifi?

Sure you can. If you noticed, you can still use WiFi even if you do not have a SIM card on your mobile.

Virgin mobile blackberry?

my parents are planning on buying me a phone and im thinking about getting a virgin mobile phone. The problem is that i REALLY want a Blackberry but the blackberry phones that virgin mobile sells is $250! and my parents dont wanna spend that much so i was wondering if i could buy a blackberry from sprint and someway activate it to Virgin mobile. But im not sure if i could do that and since i dont want a contract with sprint the blackberry may end up still being expensive maybe being even more than the Virgin mobile blackberry. Please i need help!!!!

You have to have the virgin mobile phone to get the prepaid service they offer...the reason they charge so much for the phone is due to customers not signing a contract so they need to make money on the sell of the phone itself...sorry...

I am buying the Blackberry from them next week simply because I don't want to sign any contracts

I got this Blackberry Curve, from Virgin Mobile. And I wanted, to change my phone number to a new number. How much does it cost, to change the phone number online? Or do you actually, have to do it by telephone?

Yeah, you can make a change. As for the fee, it depends on. If you have a contract with the current provider, usually you should pay $100 for changing a phone number, but as far as I know, some providers won't let you pay if you have used their service for at least one year. If you don't have contact, definitely you won't need pay for it.

Ask the new provider to make a change to the phone number, but be make sure that before changing your current number, you shouldn't stop the service with your current provider, otherwise your phone number will be inactive and your new provider will unable to make a change for you.

I saw a really cheap plan of $45.00 per month (unlimited texting, web, and more) with the Virgin Mobile plan. I saw that they said that they offered the Blackberry Curve 8530...Is it a good phone?/ Is it worth the $185.00? I mean, if it is only $45.00 per month...I thought that was pretty good...

There are currently nine versions of the BlackBerry Curve 8530 for sale in the US. But the ones offered by Cricket, MetroPCS and Virgin Mobile demand special scrutiny. All three carriers sell this smartphone for a very low monthly rate, with no contract. Virgin's plans are a little more expensive than Metro's and Cricket's, but Virgin's network is both 3G (which Metro isn't) and available nationwide (which Cricket isn't). This is the only smartphone available for Virgin Mobile right now, and combined with the plans we think it's a very good buy.

Is there a way i can connect my sprint blackberry curve 8530 with virgin mobile prepaid service?

You will not be able to make your Blackberry 8530 work on Virgin Mobile's network. It does not matter if your Blackberry is GSM, CDMA or any other type of phone. It also will not matter whether your Blackberry was from the Sprint, AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile network.

The only phones that will work on Virgin Mobile are phones specifically made for, programmed and sold on (and for) the site / network ... Such as their Blackberry Curve 8530. There's is programmed with different Enterprise-Level firmware and they do this intentionally, and it is the only way for a low-cost, prepaid network to survive.

If you could use any phone (or any other network's phone), nobody would buy Virgin Mobile phones at all ... They'd buy used or unlocked phones elsewhere, then go sign up for Virgin Mobile, Boost or some other prepaid network.

This is also the reason why phones are often "free" or so inexpensive on one of the major networks - because they are relying on a minimum Two-Year Contract ... Which a prepaid company can not get from you.

You CAN unlock your Blackberry 8530 or get it unlocked and use it on a competing major provider. If it is a GSM phone, you can use it on AT&T or T-mobile. If it is a CDMA phone, you can use it on Verizon or Sprint.

It depends on where you live, but Virgin Mobile runs on the Sprint Network so it's pretty good for me. The messaging and net is fast, and I'm on the $35 plan which is perfect!
