Blackberry Bold 9650 Verizon release date?

Does anyone know when the new Blackberry Bold 9650 is coming out for Verizon. All the online rumors suggested a May 27th release date, but that clearly didn't happen. Every time I call Verizon, they are very vague and say they don't know, but this week an employee did confirm they are starting to train them about the phone.

When I asked about the tour 2, she told me she could answer all of my questions, then she proceeded to tell me she doesn't know anything about a Tour 2. It was obviously a canned response. When I brought up wanting to wait for new technology she told me they have several new phones getting ready to be released soon and she would wait if she was in my shoes. The memorial weekend sale on phones, the training rumored and the weird yet somewhat informative response when I called in leads me to believe we will see the Tour 2 / 9650 in early June. Early June has been predicted by a few other sites also so we are getting close... Hopefully.

How do i connect to Wi-Fi with my verizon blackberry bold 9650?

i turn on my wi-fi, i try connecting to a network. when i pick the network, they all say "Enter this PIN into your wireless router" then it gives me a number. i dont know how to enter a PIN into my router. I can also get to an option where it asks for my pre-shared key, but none of my wifi passwords work for it? No one else i know with a blackberry has this problem.

GSM=sim card networks

But you would have to get it unlocked by VZN or try one of those pay to unlock the phone.

I'm having random troubles with my extremely new blackberry bold 9650. It had been freezing, so i shut it off, turned it back on - it wouldn't let me unlock my actual phone. Then it when I have it plugged it, it lets me unlock (only sometimes) and it wont let me scroll. I'm freaking out, because I only got this phone about a month, maybe a month and a half ago. I'm not sure what's going on or how to fix it !!

Heck, you can reset it to factory and it won't lock it up again.

Just make sure you back up and relevant data. Then when you bring it back up, re-register on the network, and you'll be fine.

Yeah, you can make a change. As for the fee, it depends on. If you have a contract with the current provider, usually you should pay $100 for changing a phone number, but as far as I know, some providers won't let you pay if you have used their service for at least one year. If you don't have contact, definitely you won't need pay for it.

Ask the new provider to make a change to the phone number, but be make sure that before changing your current number, you shouldn't stop the service with your current provider, otherwise your phone number will be inactive and your new provider will unable to make a change for you.

Ok so here is all the details.. i was wiping the screen off on my jeans. i guess the motion of the trackball back and forth messed up the screen.. it went all trippy then whited out.. i have taken out the battery and put it back in nothing is working.. i have dropped it but i was fine i dont know if maybe this is a late effect? i bought the phone off of ebay from a respectable dealer but it didnt come with the software disc so i dont know whats up with the deleting trick. anyhow im a teenage girl, our phones are our world.. i am really upset that its doing this. please help me

You can try to remove the battery AND the sim card for a minute and put it back in. If that doesn't work you can download the desktop manager which will allow you to reload your software onto your blackberry. If you are uncomfortable doing the last option call your provider instead you dont want your phone to be in a worse state then its in now.

Everything was all normal until I got a text message so i checked my phone and it's completely white except for one stripe across it in the center. Everything's working fine, my phone is still blinking red since i have 3 texts, but i just cant see anything but a white screen.

It could be a few things, but kind of sounds like you may have liquid damage to your phone. That is a common problem when phones get a little liquid damage (does not have to be a lot of water... Even steam from a shower if you had it in the bathroom). If you take the battery out of the phone there should be a liquid indicator to let you know if the liquid reached that part of the phone... The indicator would be pink or red instead of white (one on the battery as well). You would be best to take it in & let a technician take a look.

No. Your Verizon sim does not get Verizon service. It's there so you can access GSM service outside the US. Verizon will not allow non-Verizon-branded phones to be activated on its network.

On the other hand, if unlocked, your Storm 2 can be used with an AT&T sim.

I'd take a palm.
When palm sold, like ALL the mobile companies (well, not all, but loads) tried to buy it, including Apple, Blackberry (i think) and others. HP won, though. Clearly, blackberry were not so happy - they just made a phone, the blackberry torch that pretty much copies the pre, one of palm's phones)
The Pixi and Pre are, i am guessing the best to own, both QWERTY and touchscreen. I think Palm has a non touchscreen, (the treo? Not that sure). If they don't have 3G they have WiFi, either way there is internet. Which is very nice. All those who own the Pre (nearly!) say they simply adore it and would never, ever go back - some have complained about the poor battery, however palm conqered the fear with a touchstone charger - a nice, portable dock that charges your phone.
I recommend Palm.

Couple of reasons: The coverage in the area where you live may be better on Verizon than on Metro PCS. Secondly, Metro PCS is a regional carrier where Verizon is a national carrier when traveling around the country you'll get hit with roaming fees where that you'll won't get with Verizon.

ok my aunty just got a blackberry torch and she wanted me to put her favorite song, bruno mars just the way you are, on as her ringtone. i sent the mp3 file via bluetooth via my iMac but i have no clue how to set it as ringtone. and how do u know if it is fake. Ulgh, I had my iPhone stolen. It stinks. If you haven't already, you need to call Sprint and have them deactivate that line so that whoever has it doesn't run up a bunch of charges. You can report it stolen, but from everything I've seen it doesn't do much. The phone can still be used, all they would have to do is trade out the SIM card, which is super easy to do.

Sprint phones can usually get talk/text. Forget mms. Data? Maybe. If you bust your tail.

Blackberries, even Verizon ones do not have Blackberry services support. Technically, no phone that is not a Page Plus official phone is supported, so if you flash one and get it on their system, the tech support is all up to you.

Coverage is on Verizon prepaid network so kills Metro/Cricket.

Right now i have facebook and twitter and also pandora. The games arent as good but its a PHONE not a mobile gaming devices.

What regular people hate is that blackberry apps world only has apps that people use like facebook and twitter. They only have one version of each app unlike say the app market on apple that has 7 different facebook apps tens of different twitter apps and a million and a half repeat games.

The blackberry are beautiful devices and I'd advise you to get the new Bold or curve. They have touch screens and beautiful desplay and the most up to date blackberry OS

Blackberry curve 8320 wont turn on with sim card?

I've had a blackberry curve for about a year now and ive had no problems whatsoever. Recently, i took my sim card out for 15 minutes to get pictures off of another phone and when i put it back into my blackberry, it wont turn on. The red LED light turns on and the loading screen goes on for only about 5 seconds and shuts off. But when i take out the sim card and put in the battery, it turns on without any problems and all my info is in the phone.

Blackberry 9000 wont turn on?

Okay so last week my blackberry got very hot and I think it damaged the battery because my battery wouldnt charge up till 100 percent. Also when I tried to charge it, it would reboot atoumatically. So I got a new battery and the man said to charge for 10 hours which I did but the battery life only went half way, so I left it over night since I thought it might take time. When I checked it in the morning there was a red light on and it wouldnt turn on. I was checking the internet and it told me to leave it on charge for longer and when I did the red light just went. Now it wont turn on and there is no read light. My phone is solid cold and I have no idea on how to fix it.

Any ideas?

(Ps When I plug it in to the computer, it doesnt detect the device)

Only thing i can suggest is to remove battery and sim card and leave it for hour or so, then replace and see if it re-boots, if and when it does it would be wise to download an anti-virus for it.

can I use my Verizon Blackberry Bold 9650 in South Korea?

I'm going on vacation this summer and would love to be able to still use my service, it says it is a global smartphone?

Wow. You must be made of money to be abl to afford Verizon's rates plus the international roaming fees. If you're smart, you'll get the unlock code from Verizon and use the bold with a local prepaid sim.
