Blackberry tour battery problems?!?

I have a blackberry tour, that will charge ALL night and yet last only about 1 hour away from charger. It will immediately die during a phone call or on the web. I've tried upgrade, pulling out the battery, deleting memory storage yet it's only gotten worse. Also it will die when its just sitting in my purse. Please help on any suggestions. D;

Blackberry Tour Battery Problem!?

My Blackberry Tour went through the wash 3 days ago. I went through many procedures to try and save it. I waited until today to turn it back on. It will not turn on, and the light does not come on when I connect it to the charger. Is the phone fried, or could it possible be damage to the battery???
I've also plugged it it without the battery inside, and the LED does not activate...

I've also put it in a bowl of rice for 3 days

Might still be water inside that create a short circuit. Would suggest to put your cell phone in a bag of rice for about a 5 days to a week. The rice will help absorb all humidity. Then try again.

I think a company like Batteries Plus ( http://www.batteriesplus.com ) could help you diagnose if indeed the battery is damaged. They may have a store near you.

Okay so i purchased a phone from telus 2 weeks ago now( the blackberry tour) and i have taken back once already for this problem. My phone did not hold a charge for a day i would leave for school at 8:30 text my friends and by noon my phone was at 50% which i thought was dumb so i called and they tried telling me it was normal. Which i found was rediculous so i took it to where i bought it and they gave me a new battery. The problem wasnt as bad but my old phone i had to charge twice a week i need to charge this new phone once a day. I find it really odd that the batery life is this bad with the black berry tour. I had an hour long conversation on the phone at75% battery once i got off the phone it was 40% so im just wondering if its not normal because if not i will just take it back to telus and they said they would swap the phone for me.

That's normal (ha, didn't want to hear that, did you?).

Try dropping the brightness down to a minimum. Remember to switch the radio connection from Global to 1XEV and switch from GPS to E911; you'll get a lot better mileage out of each charge.

Should i get a case for my blackberry torch 9800?

I have a blackberry torch 9800 in black, should i get a case for it, does it damages easily?
I already have a screen protector on it. I am usually very carefull with my electronics as i will put them in my pocket, screen side inwards and i would have a clean pocket with nothing else in it. Ok so here is all the details.. i was wiping the screen off on my jeans. i guess the motion of the trackball back and forth messed up the screen.. it went all trippy then whited out.. i have taken out the battery and put it back in nothing is working.. i have dropped it but i was fine i dont know if maybe this is a late effect? i bought the phone off of ebay from a respectable dealer but it didnt come with the software disc so i dont know whats up with the deleting trick. anyhow im a teenage girl, our phones are our world.. i am really upset that its doing this. please help me

You can try to remove the battery AND the sim card for a minute and put it back in. If that doesn't work you can download the desktop manager which will allow you to reload your software onto your blackberry. If you are uncomfortable doing the last option call your provider instead you dont want your phone to be in a worse state then its in now.

Everything was all normal until I got a text message so i checked my phone and it's completely white except for one stripe across it in the center. Everything's working fine, my phone is still blinking red since i have 3 texts, but i just cant see anything but a white screen.

It could be a few things, but kind of sounds like you may have liquid damage to your phone. That is a common problem when phones get a little liquid damage (does not have to be a lot of water... Even steam from a shower if you had it in the bathroom). If you take the battery out of the phone there should be a liquid indicator to let you know if the liquid reached that part of the phone... The indicator would be pink or red instead of white (one on the battery as well). You would be best to take it in & let a technician take a look.

Take it back & get a new one. Blackberries suck, they have so many glitches. I know this because i have one too. Just take it back, tell them your problem & they'll probably give you a new one.

Hey everyone,
I have a newly purchased Blackberry Tour (9630)
and I saw a girl the other night with a super cute silicone gel skin!
It was bright orange and it had the blackberry logo going down the back, I asked her about it and she said she bought it from ebay and that it came in a pack of 4 or 5.
I know that they are brightly colored and I totally am in love with them.
I need help finding them, if anyone can help me out, that would be great.
And I love the fact that the blackberry logo was "Etched" into the back of the skin, that was an awesome plus!

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

P.S. she said she got the pack of i think it was either 4 or 5 skins for like $1.00 plus $3.00 or $4.00 for shipping and handling, she also said it was an actual store on ebay... i am pretty ebay challenged, so any help would be great. Thanks so much again!

Take it to your cell phone provider they tend to have a repair person or they will send it out for repairs. They can tell you if you are still within warranty or give you a flat repair fee and then once they find the problem call you and let you know what has to be prepared and how much it will cost before they start the repair (if you are out of warranty).

hello i recently purchased a blackberry pearl 8100 on ebay for my girlfriend. She put a couple of scratches that are barely noticable but she keeps complaining about it and wont let me do anything until i fix it

. My question is if there is any way I can remove the scratches without buying a new phone?? I dont have insurance or a warranty, I dont have the money to buy another phone. I want to know if there is some sort of repair kit I can buy or a place in the Los Angeles area where I can get scratches removed off the phone. Any homemade suggestions would also do as long as I get these scratches removed.

The scratches are not on the screen but on the top part above the screen and the side of the phone at the top (which is silver on this particularn phone)

Warranty Problem with Blackberry Phones 4 u please help!?

I signed up for a phones for you contract with orange for a blackberry torch, the torch handset itself is simfree so there is no carrier lock or logo.
It is still under warranty and i woke up one morning and the phone wasnt recognising my simcard, i took it into phones for you and they said theyd take it in for repair. I later found out they refused to fix it as apparently i did the damage myself! The phone is in amazing condition i'm very careful with it and the problem it has is it's card reader there is a fault or one of the pins is broken.I've researched this and alot of other blackberry users have had the same fault is there anything I can do? They can't surely just blame me especially if its an internal fault?
PHONES 4 U ARE THE WORST COMPANY EVER, MONEY GRABBERS.

I like the blackberry bold 9780 as a lot of my friends have bb's and use bbm. I also like the menu and the QWERTY keyboard. This phone is also good for browsing the internet, however it has a smallish size screen.

Another option is the iphone 4. This phone has a massive screen, however it is touch. The app store on the iphone is amazing also.
My main priority is internet browsing and texting.

I Definitely think the iPhone. Almost everyone I know that had a blackberry switched to the iPhone. Just sell your iTouch on eBay or to a friend. IPhone 3Gs's are very cheap at the moment, but if you want faster service then get the iPhone 4. Overall the touchscreen typing is very smooth and it's just a great phone. Highly recommended.

With Verizon coming out with the iPhone in early 2011, is it worth the wait for another 3-4 months to get the iPhone, or would it be better to get the Motorolla Droid X, which also seems like a great phone.

I'm a long time Verizon customer, and have been using the Blackberry Storm for a couple of years now. It is time to upgrade my phone, and was just wondering what someone else's experience was.

I also have the storm and am contemplating the droid x versus waiting on the iphone 4. I'm actually leaning more towards the droid. Larger screen, better camera, tons of widgets, and a fast processor. SO many people will be lining up to buy a brand new iphone4 from verizon (which will end up being out of stock) and I know the price for one of those will be through the roof. At least I know the Droid's price and the fact that it has been out for quite some time with everyone I know loving the phone.
So if you want your phone to have:
Sharp screen, great multimedia features, and a great source for content - go with the iphone4

Big screen, great search tools, and reliable - go with the droid x

For me...I'm going with the Droid.

so its rumored that the iphone is coming to verizon in january or early 2011. my verizon 2 year contract is up now, should i wait until january and get the iphone? or should i get the blackberry curve now. If i chose the curve, id probably end up getting the ipod touch in a couple months because my nano is starting to break down. whats your opinion?
