Questions About Blackberry Curve 9300 T Mobile

Thomas asks…

Do BlackBerry Curve 9300 give you cancer?

I just got a Smoky Violet BlackBerry Curve 9300 (T-Mobile) phone. I've done some research but I have mixed feelings about this phone when it comes to health. I love this phone so far but still don't know if it is a good phone "healthwise"?

admin answers:

All phones can give you cancer if you use them like literally 24/7. It's really not something to be worried about.

Mandy asks…

What mobile phone shall i buy, HTC Wildfire S, Samsung Galaxy Ace, Samsung Galaxy W or Blackberry Curve 9300?

I'm getting a new mobile phone for Christmas and i have a choice of them four phones, but i can't decide! I think so far i leaning towards the Samsung Galaxy W, but i don't know enough about any of the phones, so can you please tell me your experiences with any of the four phone and which you think is best? Thankyou :)

admin answers:

I would say either the Samsung Galaxy W or Blackberry Curve 9300 because with both of these phones are very high on technology.. So those would be my fist choices, but if you like the Samsung Galaxy W a bit more i would say go for it! If you don't know enough about it, go on google and you should find a lot of info. Hope that kinda helps..

Lizzie asks…

Blackberry Curve 9300 vs Motorola Charm?

Ok so I am getting a phone for my birthday and i want to know if i should get the Motorola Charm or the Blackberry Curve 9300. They are both definitely coming to T-Mobile USA later this month. I text a lot and do a lot of social networking.

admin answers:

Curve

Lisa asks…

i bought a blackberry curve 9300 today but it wont let me log into facebook! plz help!?

when i tried to log into facebook on my new blackberry 9300 it says
'you are currently on a service plan that does not support this application, please connect to a wifi network or contact your service provider to upgrade your data plan'

If it helps, i am with T-Mobile.

please help me!

admin answers:

That means you don't have a data plan. Which means you don't have internet connection. If you call T-Mobile they can upgrade your service to a data package. Also, if you already have a data package, put the phone in airplane mode, turn it off, then turn it back on and take it out of airplane mode... Maybe that will help. Good Luck! :)

Questions About Blackberry Bold 9900 T Mobile

Joseph asks…

why are t-mobile phones more expensive than the other carriers?

for example the t-mobile blackberry bold 9900 is prices at 299.99 with a two year contract while sprints blackberry bold 9930 is priced at 199.99 with two year contract, and verizon wireless bold 9930 is priced at 249.99 w/ 2 years. cause i am wanting to get the bold but i have a&tt but they do not have the bold; so im wondering why is there a big difference in price if its the same phone?

admin answers:

They get the contract last

John asks…

Where can I get The BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 4G?

Where can I get The BlackBerry® Bold9900 4G?
I'm looking to get another phone, I was looking to get the HTC Sensation, But cant get over the weak speakers and muffled voice since I use the speaker a lot at work. so I started looking at the blackberry bold that this girl had, I compared it to my blackberry curve and its like my curve is a stripped down version of the Bold. I have T-mobile but there it cost $600 and cost more on Amazon. does anyone know any place else where I can get the Blackberry Bold 9900 Straight form the factory not refurbished for less then $600?

admin answers:

The only way to get it cheaper is under a contract or used, which is unlikely because the phone hasnt even been out for 2 months.

Sandy asks…

T-Mobile HTC Sensation or Blackberry Bold?

im thinking of getting a new phone. Currently i have the blackberry bold 9700 and im thinking of changing phones to a HTC Sensation. I Also heard that the new blackberry bold 9900 is coming out next month and it is also a touch screen. I don't know if i should wait for the new bold or get the HTC sensation. Which phone do you think is better?

admin answers:

For your sake do not buy a T Mobile phone. I know TM is putting on a great deal of pressure and hype. Here is the reason. They are merging with At&t as of March 2011. When you get into contract by buying a phone then your are stuck going to At&t and paying much more for less. At&t said that they will not allow TM phones on their network so the TM phone will be useless.

Thomas asks…

When will AT&T come out the the Blackberry Bold 9900?

T-Mobile started selling it August 31st, but when is AT&T going to put it on the market. I have been anxiously waiting for this phone to come out since JUNE! I know AT&T came out with the new Torch, but I am not interested in that. Does anyone know roughly when AT&T will start selling the Bold 9900??

admin answers:

They still haven't given a specific date as to when it will be released. I hope it's soon though! People are dying for it!

Daniel asks…

Good contact for a Blackberry Bold 9900?

Hi I want to get a Blackberry Bold 9900 for Christmas on contract. I only want my contact to be for a year, and I want Blackberry Email, Unlimited internet, a reasonable amount of texts and I am not too fussed about minutes. My Mum is only willing to pay about £25 a month, so I need one that is around that price. I looked on the T.Mobile website and I saw that it was about £40, so can you guys please send me links to this phone on a contract that meets the standard that I want (:. I don't mind changing network by the way (:.
Thank you!

admin answers:

Not gonna happen, shorter contract terms push the price up, not down...

Mark asks…

T-mobile Blackberry 9700 (Bold 2)?

ok so i have read a lot of reviews about the blackberry bold 2 9700. i know that it is coming to T-mobile. is gonna be the first 3G Blackberry on T-mobile and i wanted to know when is it gonna be the release date.

also i want to know if i can upgrade my phone on the internet and get this phone when it comes out?

also is it better for internet or do i go and do the line to get it cause i wanna know ASAP

admin answers:

Yea this phone is going to be awesome! As far as the realease date, nobody knows an official date as of right now. Everywhere I've read seems to be November 11th. You can definitly upgrade if you qualify. It just depends how long you've been with t-mobile. I've been with them for 7 years so i have full upgrade. Tmobile says i can upgrade for $200!(LUCKY ME!) It's also better to get the internet plan for Blackberry just like the sidekick plan you will save yourself some $. GOOD LUCK!

Richard asks…

Which is better? Moto Droid or Blackberry Bold 2?

I was thinking about getting a new phone and finalised my shortlist to these 2 - either the Motorola Droid/Milestone http://verizonvoyager.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/moto-droid-2-630x419-550x365.png
or the Blackberry Bold 9700/Bold 2. http://www.digitaltrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/bold-9700-review-5.jpg
Basically, Which is better for music playing, MSN IM/facebook and viewing videos on web such as gadget show & youtube. Which is better for these things? Why is one better than the other? pros/cons? Also, where/who would be the cheapest in the UK?

Questions About Blackberry Torch 9850

Lisa asks…

Whats the difference between the Blackberry Torch 9850 and 9860?

I may be getting the new blackberry torch 9850 (or 9860).... what the difference between the two??

admin answers:

The new one is probably more advanced and the iphone 4s is comming out, you should get that :D

Linda asks…

What phone is the best one the HTC EVO Shift or the BlackBerry Torch 9850?

I don't know what phone I kinda want I do like the HTC EVO Shift 4G and the BlackBerry Torch 9850 smartphone which one do you guys think is the best one. And I'm with sprint

admin answers:

I would say go for the HTC EVO Shift 4G just because the Blackberry software is very outdated compared to that of Android and iOS. I mean I love the design of the Blackberry Torch 9850 and it has better specs (1.2GHZ processor vs 800Mhz, 8MP camera vs 5MP, 8GB internal storage vs 2GB internal storage), the Blackberry operating system will definitely make you very bored of the phone.

But I personally think you should go for the Samsung Epic Touch. It's from the Samsung Galaxy S2 lineup which currently features the King's of Android phones lineup on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint.

It has a 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen (best touchscreen in the business), a dual core procoessor, 1GB of ram, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Its specs are the best of the best and you won't experience any lag with this phone. I believe it also has guerrilla glass, so it's very defensive against scratches.

But since you didn't ask for that, I would say go for the HTC EVO Shift definitely. Blackberry's are just too outdated (until January when they release the QNX operating system. Maybe they'll have a fighting chance then).

Also read this article http://www.phonesontv.com/save-money-when-buying-your-new-smartphone/ because you can find ways to save money when upgrading your smartphone or signing a new two year contract.

Mandy asks…

How to Unlock BlackBerry Torch 9800 9860 9850 with Internet and mms?

I have a Blackberry Torch 9800 and then I'm getting the torch 9850 9860 later - how do I unlock the torch with Internet browser for tmobile, Rogers, vodafone or any gsm network with full Internet browser and mms and where Dino unlock the blackberry torch?

admin answers:

Just goto http://www.ProMobileMotion.com and you can get the full factory unlock code there to unlock your blackberry torch 9800 or the new 9850 9860, they use factory unlock codes, so the code wont relock or void your warranty, plus you will get the internet browser function and mms picture messaging for tmobile or rogers or vodafone or any gsm company world wide. I myself unlocked my torch & my blackberry storm there.

William asks…

blackberry torch 9850 on boost mobile?

is it possible to unlock and use a blackberry torch 9850 on boost mobile. i know that sprint offers that phone and it runs on the CDMA network. can we unlock the phone and use it on boost mobile? thnx in advance.

admin answers:

You can unlock a Blackberry 9850 Online in minutes and then use it with any GSM sim card.

Unlocking a Blackberry is easy and you can go to a phone shop and get it unlocked or unlock it for cheaper online, you can unlock Blackberry Torch 9850 for GSM use at Blackberry unlocking: http://blackberry-unlocking.org/unlock-blackberry/torch_9850

The device can work on both CDMA and GSM and after unlocking it you can insert a SIM card into it and use it with any carrier on the GSM network.

Remember to update the service books with those that are used by your carrier that you have the Blackberry data plan with. If you don't have a BIS account then contact your carrier and ask for a Blackberry data plan and service books.

Mark asks…

I am getting the blackberry Torch 9850 can i put apps from itunes like angry birds on it?

admin answers:

You can't use itunes for your phone but there's an app store also for Blackberry users so downloading games like Angry Birds will be easy. If you want, I can give you full access to the game for free. Just pay a visit to the site below.

Sharon asks…

How does WiFi on a Blackberry Curve (T-Mobile) Work?

I got a new Curve yesterday. I noticed that it has support for WiFi for making calls, emails, etc. I have the blackberry data plan, which is supposed to handle all of this.

So what will WiFi do exactly? Will it just go over a wireless network if one is available, and if so, why? I just have the BB data plan, not the hotspot@home plan.

admin answers:

Wi-Fi on a BlackBerry allows you to make calls over Wi-Fi as well as get emails while making phone calls. If you don't have the HotSpot@Home plan you can still make calls, but it will still take away from your monthly allotment. But it is good if you are in an area where there is limited service.

I am using the Pearl Flip 8220 on T-Mobile which has Wi-Fi and I have it connected to my wireless network.

Donald asks…

How can i make my Blackberry ONLY use WIFI internet/connection?

Basically, when i'm indoors or in a wifi hotspot i want my blackberry's internet to connect to that. Ideally i would like it to ONLY USE WIFI, because i haven't got an internet add on with it and going on the internet costs quite a bit. My wifi is connected but when i go on the internet it seems to use gprs is it? to connect, really i would like it to not work at all unless i'm connected to wi-fi connection. Sorry for bad standard of english!

admin answers:

Options icon - Advanced Options - Browser

Default browser configuration: Hotspot Browser

Press the Menu key and select Save

Mandy asks…

I have an unlocked t-mobile blackberry curve 8320 with a prepaid zain sim card and gprs internet not working?

I have an unlocked t-mobile blackberry curve 8320 gprs internet not working when i go to the internet on my blackberry it says this is a wifi service only i tried to change browser type and my only option is hotspot browser and i activated my internet service from my service provider prepaid zain iraq
please help

admin answers:

Blackberry uses Blackberry servers for internet. You've to get a Blackberry Data Plan with your Zain if they have one. You can't get it on Prepaid, you've to use WiFi only.

Lizzie asks…

Blackberry flip Wifi won't connect?

I have received a Blackberry Flip phone for my birthday. I have AT&T but it is an unlocked phone. The phone has a wifi feature and is able to connect to my home network. It will find my home network, ask for my WEP code for security, accurately put it in, and it will say connection successful. However, I try to connect to the internet but I get the error message "Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider."

The WiFi router recognises that the phone is connected and shows the correct Mac & IP addresses. On the manage connections screen i get a checked box Wi-Fi network name in green however, it has a white dash where the green check mark or red X should be.

I have called AT&T. First they said I had to register the new phone with the IMEI. Didn't work. Then they said I needed a data plan if I wanted it to work but I refused to purchase one because I believe that I do not need it since it is WIFI and not the data plan. I called my Internet Provider and they had terrible service, they passed me from representative to tech expert until they hung up on me.

My browser configuration is on "Hotspot Browser" and there is not other options to choose from. I know the wifi in my home works because my friend with an Iphone connected to it and used the internet successfully.

I have tried everything and I am frustrated. I am usually really good with electronics but I feel this is a problem that is very uncommon. I thought about it and I think it has something to do with the fact that this phone, though it is unlocked, is meant for T-Mobile users and I am using an AT&T sim chip (because I have AT&T).

Maybe I really do need a data plan with AT&T for it to work. I don't have a plan and previously, it would charge me as I go. Please, any solutions or help would be appreciated

admin answers:

Like you said, yes your friend can connect to a home wifi because he pay for the iPhone plan data(that's why is cost $30). If you don't have a data plan, AT&T block the Wifi feature. I know this because i have a iPhone 3G.
