Questions About Blackberry Or Iphone 5

Mandy asks…

BlackBerry or iPhone 5?

Should I buy an iPhone 5 or a BlackBerry? Social Networking, Music, and Gaming are the areas I look for the most in a phone. Its true the iPhone excells on all 3 but the BlackBerry is incomparable in the Social Networking part.
Any ideas which one to own?

admin answers:

IPhone 5 isn't actually out yet but if you mean iPhone 4 then, well it depends what you will use it for!

If you will use it for work then Blackberry is best as it is easy to access your email on and easy to text as it has a qwerty keyboard.

If you will use your phone for fun/games then IPHONE is best. I have never had and iPhone but my dad has one and I have an iPod touch. They are really fun but I find using a qwerty keyboard is easier.
Hope you enjoy whichever phone you use :D

Michael asks…

Blackberry or iPhone 5?

My parents are finally letting me get a phone! :D The only problem is...I can't choose between the Blackberry or the iPhone 5 that's coming out in September. Any advice? Thanks.

admin answers:

I would go with the iPhone 5. Blackberries are more geared toward working people. IPhones are a lot better for teens and the like because they have a lot of games and multimedia features.

Plus, from an industry standpoint, RIM reign as the king of the smartphone is pretty much over. Android based phones and iPhones are the future (I guess you could consider Windows phone 7 too).

I would say buy either the iPhone 5 when it comes out, or a comparable Android powered device. Personally, I have an iPhone 4 and am going to get the iPhone 5 when it comes out too. Blackberries are outdated and won't be popular, except as possibly still for businesses because they are easier because they are used to them.

Betty asks…

You's be stupid to chose a blackberry. IPhone 5 all the way. The only people who prefer Blackberry's are people who have never owned an iPhone

Questions About Blackberry Vs Iphone 5

Thomas asks…

Blackberry bold vs. iPhone 5?

It's new for me to get a new phone but I'm torn between whichnone to get. The only reason i am considering getting the blackberry's because all my friends have bbm! I already have a iPod but inlove it so much I want the iPhone as well... If anyone has some good information on both the phones that will help me decide, please share!

admin answers:

BlackBerry 9700 Bold Unlocked Smartphone s a great product. It's more compact that the Bold 9000 that I used to own. I much prefer the touch-sensitive track pad compared to the trackball too. Besides those two main factors the functions and battery life are basically the same between the two.

I love my blackberry it is so amazing i never wright reviews but this product is so awsome that i had to wright a review of course with every product there is at least one thing i dont like but i have have 10000 that is good to say about the device i take lots of pics and the camera on this phone has very good quality video could be better not to much impressed with that.

Carol asks…

Blackberry Torch 9810 vs iPhone 5/4S vs Blackberry Torch 9860?

So I'm getting a phone and I don't know what phone to get. Everyone in my family has a Blackberry and most of my friends have one too. I want an iPhone because I want to have a different phone than everyone else but then again I want a Blackberry so I can BBM everyone. Also I have an iPod Touch 4G if that helps. Which one do you think is the best?

Thanks!
My dad has an Blackberry Bold 9900. So I don't want the same phone as him.
My carrier doesn't have the Samsung Galaxy.

admin answers:

I have had an iPhone 4 for about 6 months and have no problems with it at all and it is definitely recommended, especially of you own an iPod touch, because I bet if you get a blackberry you will still carry around your iPod but if you get an iPhone you will mix both together and get Internet wherever you go

Joseph asks…

BlackBerry vs iPhone for teen guy?

I currently am using an iPhone 3GS, and am eligible for an upgrade. Around my high school, BlackBerry's are the most prevalent, but is BBM worth it to switch to a BlackBerry? I do use SMS alot, but most of the people I text have BlackBerry's. The plan that I have already comes with unlimited text, so dropping unlimited text would be irrelevant. If I were to get a BlackBerry, coming from an iPhone, which one do you think would be best for me? It would have to have GSM and 3G as thats what my network (Telus) offers. If I were to stay with the iPhone, would it be best to just stay with the 3GS and wait for an iPhone 5 or get an iPhone 4 now? I want to hear your opinion.

admin answers:

I would say that switching to a BlackBerry for BBM is a terrible idea because you can text just the same on an iPhone as you can on a BlackBerry. Plus, you can get way more apps, and you can even video chat on an iPhone! Both of which you cannot really do with a BlackBerry. I say you get and iPhone 4 now, that way in a year and a half you will be eligible for an upgrade just in time for the iPhone 6 to come out. Most likely there won't be any extremely nice and big changes for iPhone 5 but on iPhone 6 it will be time for some big changes and you will be able to get it right when it comes out.

Sandy asks…

Blackberry vs. iPhone vs. Android?

I am switching to Sprint and I don't know which phone to get. Blackberry is coming out with a new curve which will be available on Sprint. Sprint is getting the iPhone in October, they will have the new iPhone 5 and the discounted iPhone 4. The final choice is the HTC Evo Shift 4G. Whihc one should i get? BB Curve, Iphone 4 or 5, or HTC Evo Shift? HELP!!!!
I don't want to spend $200 that is why the BB bold is not an option or any of the new android phones

admin answers:

IPhone

Lizzie asks…

A new phone?? AT&T vs. Verizon??? Blackberry vs. IPhone?

I currently have the LG Neon and my carrier is At&t. For a long time i thought that Verizon was the best carrier out there. I was recently thinking about switching to Verizon. Is there really a difference with the carrier? Also i wanted to get a new phone. My plan is up around April 21. I have been thinking about either getting an IPhone or a Blackberry. I dont particularly like the Blackberry torch so i have been thinking about the Curve or Bold. If i was to get an Iphone i would get Iphone 4 or wait til the Iphone 5 comes out. I am using it for personal use, i was wondering if it would be better to get a Blackberry and if so which Blackberry. If its better to get an Iphone. Whatever you pick as the best please give a reason. Thank you soo much for answering this. I dont want to make a mistake getting the wrong phone so every answer is helpful!!!

Questions About Blackberry Bold 9900 Vs Iphone 4

Mark asks…

BlackBerry Bold 9900 vs iPhone 4?

I currently have the iPhone 4, but now with the release of the BB Bold 9900, I am thinking of switching to that. Should I, or should I keep my iPhone? Please do not suggest any other phones to me!!!

admin answers:

Blackberry's are going down in popularity so future support is a real question. I would not even consider one.

Sandra asks…

Blackberry bold 9900 vs IPhone 4?

Which one should I get? My contract just ended and it's time to get a new phone. I'm not planning on waiting for the iPhone 5. I already have and iPod touch, but it's really old.. *the 2nd gen* it still works but.. I've heard of a lot of problems with blackberrys not sending messages or bbm.. Please tell me which one I should get.
No biases please.

admin answers:

It really depends on what you want out of the phone. In my opinion the IPhone 4 is hands down the best phone for multimedia out there. Great for music, videos (facetime!), pictures and apps galore(to many apps to count). While the Blackberry is the most secure and business friendly phone on the market. It has the best QWERTY keyboard ever put on a phone and the best email interface period. So if your always taking pictures, listening to music, playing games, or just overall really into mainstream stuff, then the I Phone is for you. If your into security, productivity, real keyboards or just a borderline compulsive email checker then Blackberry may be the right one for you.

admin answers:

Definitely iPhone 4 but I would suggest you to wait till next month, iPhone 5 is coming !!

William asks…

IPhone 4 vs I Phone 4s vs Blackberry Bold 9900?

i want a phone that's good for web browsing games and movies/ tv shows i know that the iphone is great for Gaming but i don't know if i want to get a 4s when a 5 is coming out soon

admin answers:

To be completely honest, you should either wait for the 5 to come out or just buy the 4. I am speaking from experience when I say that you will not like it, if web browsing and movies and TV shows are your main concerns.

In the case of blackberry, you cannot access the app store without a data plan (EVEN if you have WIFI), it does not allow for much customization, sites with a lot of content seem to load slower in comparison to the iphone, the screen is small (allowing less room for watching videos).

The iphone on the other hand while having it's share of cons is better suited for your needs. The screen is bigger, you can jailbreak it(if it's your cup of tea), you can use wifi to access the app store, web pages load on par to computer browsers, comes preloaded with youtube, very easy interface and comes with built in hard drive. While it might take time to convert your videos and TV shows to be view-able on your iphone (unless you plan to buy), it's still easy as you can also download an app that does the work for you through itunes.

iPhone 5 will use LTE network

A recent rumor again sticking out of the iPhone 5. The possibility of Apple's latest smartphone this will save a chip that supports the use of a network of Long Term Evolution (LTE).

One operator China Mobile has confirmed to the press operator through one of the managers who claim the next generation iPhone or iPhone 5 will support 4G networks.

China Mobile expects the iPhone 5 will support LTE technology that can operate on both versions of the spectrum, such as supports time division duplexing (TDD) and also supports frequency division duplexing (FDD).

LTE itself is a technology that supports the carrier bandwidth, from 20 MHz down to 1.4 MHz. The main advantages with LTE is throughtput high, low latency, plug and play, FDD and TDD on the same platform, all of which affect the low operating costs.

"iPhone 5 will certainly be a potentially terminal supporting LTE TDD and FDD," said Bill Huang, General Manager of China Mobile Research Institute, as quoted by Softpedia Friday (28/10/2011).

In addition, some industry experts in Taiwan also agreed and said that Nokia, Apple, RIM and Sony Ericsson are expected to simultaneously use the LTE in the next year.

Site Mobile World Live also reiterated China Mobile has sought Salama several months to get the signing of an agreement with the Cupertino electronics giant this.

In an interview with Reuters, the head of China Mobile, Wang Jianzhou revealed Apple had promised to the operator to make the iPhone with LTE network.

It seems that iPhone lovers still have to wait for official announcement from Apple about this. Because so far Apple has not issued an official statement about the iPhone development 5, which will use the network LTE.
