my mum is upgrading her phone which is a blackberry curve, and shes going to keep it and give me her upgraded phone. but i dont no whether to choose a htc cha cha, or a blackberry torch. any one who has used one of these please comment, and tell me what you think of them.

Is the blackberry torch a good phone ?

I need to pick between a bold , curve , and torch . I want to get the torch , but I need a review on its pros and cons .

I personally have owned all 3 phones currently the Torch. I love it! The touch screen is a plus. Its very easy to use and super fun. The Torch takes AMAZING photos. Especially outdoors when you change to the landscape setting. Facebook is cool. There are quite a few free games for it. It is also just as indestructable as the other bbs. Mine is torn to shreds (I'm very clumsy) and it runs just as good as the day I bought it. And for being a touch screen my screen is stronger than the others. It runs very fast. Images on the screen are beautiful. Youtube plays beautifully.
Cons- a lot of what you can do on the old bb you have to download an app for it. Like the multiple alarms. Certain message settings.hmn.
Every bb is a pain sometimes but this phone is really cool and I love it. Plus it has a bunch of storage and is a lot easier to work then the other bb and you can customize it in so many ways. It has a bunch of awesome apps and a bunch of cool ones for keeping you and your life together.
I say go for the Torch!

I have the Curve 8530, which I absolutely love! Only has one single downfall and that's that the camera has no flash, which really isn't that big of a deal. My father and BF had the Curve 8520, which they both hated and traded in after a few months of use. I can't give any specifics as to why, but they both said it was crap and ended up getting the same one as myself. I do know it had part to do with the roller ball, which I've heard a lot of bad things about. Neither have had anything bad to say about their new ones.

I have the 9300 3g, good reliable phone, had it over 7months and not a single problem, also updated it on pc to os6 in 20mins. And yeah it has apps world, lots of apps, ok it hasnt caught up with the amount android market has but still lots of free stuff.

Well i have that phone, had it 6months without problems, upgraded it to os6 on pc without any probs, its quick to txt with, has nice camera, good music player, battery life is good, i installed an anti virus from www.mylookout.com free, incase you would like to do that when you have your phone. Also installed a battery booster from apps world so battery life around a day and a half now. I have an 8GB memory card in mine loaded with pics/vids/music, phone handles that easy. And its brilliant phone to chat on real good call quality. All round good phone.

Recently I made the mistake of buying a touch screen phone (not an Iphone). It's difficult to text with so now I want to make the switch to Blackberry. I was thinking of getting the Curve 9300 but i wanted to know if there are common problems or if it just not a good phone in general. I have looked up reviews and they seem good but they were also good for my last phone which kinda sucked.

I have a friend who just got a the blackberry curve 9300 and she is loving it. Its fast and also 3G, although it isn't on the latest blackberry OS (operating system).

She says that a common problem with the phone is that when u drop it it stops working fast, but u can fix that by taking the battery out and turning it bkk on again.
And its a good phone becos its got BBM, qwerty keyboard, the call quality is good and the internet is quite fast because the phone is 3G! The camera can be clear at times but mostly it's blurry in the evenings.

What phone would you recommend: iphone 4 or blackberry bold 9780?

I like the blackberry bold 9780 as a lot of my friends have bb's and use bbm. I also like the menu and the QWERTY keyboard. This phone is also good for browsing the internet, however it has a smallish size screen.

Another option is the iphone 4. This phone has a massive screen, however it is touch. The app store on the iphone is amazing also.
My main priority is internet browsing and texting.

This site is nearly perfect and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums. I used them to unlock my cell phone. Contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked.

ok, so i just got an unlocked blackberry bold 9700 today, and the store i got it from the guy didnt give me a manual so i need some help, umm so i been charging my berry for like 4 hours now and the amber/yellow light on the top is still blinking, i want to know how do i know when its finished charging? does the light change colour? or does it stop blinking? also another thing how do i know if my memory card and sim card have been inserted properly? i inserted them both, and when i went to options it says theres no memory card, and i have no idea if it read the sim card?
Another thing, wats better to use when transfering music, video, pictures to the berry? windows synce, or the roxio media manger, or just drag and drop ? and lets say i want to put movies on the berry what format does the video files have to be?

finally, um i hear that some ppl say that since i dont have data plans or any plans, i just buy phone cards and use them, that i can still access the internet through my phone by using my wireless router? the thing is that when i try to access the router on my berry and type in the password, it fails and doesnt work? what should i do, should i change the password and see if that works or make another connection with a new password just for my berry to access? i need help:)
also i would like to know can the 9700 also play music on speakers? so i can listen to music out loud?

today i went to the store and i got a great deal on a new unlocked blackberry bold 9700.
so usually what i do is go to service providers and buy phone cards to use on my phone (pay as you go)
i just wanted to know, um am i be able to use bbm or access the internet if i am using pay as you go? like if i want to access facebook and stuff? or can i use the internet through my router?

also another question when charging the battery on my 9700, how do i charge the battery? do i turn it off and charge it? or do i leave it on and plug in the charger? reason is after i brought it home i put in my memory card, and sim card, and it was on, and i just plugged in the charger and started charging, but its been like 3 hours and the yellow/amber light at the top is still blinking so i dunno if i did something wrong? sorry for these nooby questions, the place where i got it didnt give me an instruction manual.
