My Blackberry Curve 8520 Starts Up Then Goes To The Reboot Menu And Then To A White Screen?

So it basically goes to the reboot menu and fails about a quarter through and then goes to a white screen with an hourglass for about 2 minutes then goes back to the reboot menu and keeps repeating. So is this a phone fault or does the screen need to be replaced? Btw the phone screen had a slight crack/leak in it beforehand

Blackberry 8300 (Curve) screen white's out when on a phone call and an email message comes through.?

It spins the hourglass for 4 minutes, reboots, re-checks security on wireless connection then works again until the next time. Sometimes this happens just when I've been on a phone call for 10 minutes.
I forgot...this happens when I am talking on the phone and an email comes through.

BlackBerry Bold 9790 vs 9900?

I'm looking to get a new Blackberry. This will be my first one, but I can't decide between the 9790 and the 9900. Plus it's 100$ in difference... I'm looking for a phone that let's me text/call easily and can take nice(-ish) pictures?

The Bold 9790 has a better camera than the 9900. Even though they both have 5 mp cameras, the 9790 has autofocus, so the pictures are a lot better.

Both the 9790 and the 9900 have touch screens. The 9790 is smaller, of course, suitable for people who prefer more compact phones.

The best thing about the 9900 is the keyboard. It's great and feels really good for typing, the touchscreen is very responsive and the resolution is very bight and detailed.
The bad things: battery life is a nightmare! It drains quickly and you need to charge it a lot.

I had a 9780 and both battery life and the camera were great, so I really miss that.

And hey, a lot of people are also complaining that their 9900 died when they left it charging overnight, It hasn't happened to me YET, but anyway, if you decide to go for the 9900 save the receipt and the box in case you need to use the warranty for a replacement.
Check out the crackberry.com forums on the Bold 9900 so you can read what other people are saying about it.

In my opinion, I think the 9790 would make a more reliable phone.

Hello, I'm an LG User and I need a new phone. All of my friends have blackberries, I'm 13, female. BBM is popular for us teens now a days. I got my 8530 on the 1st of the month for my wife and I. I put a bunch of themes from www.coolblackberrythemes.com. Most of them are free. As for the multiple alarm, your bb should be able to handle multiple alarms, as my wife has 3 alarms set on her phone. i have owned just a month and its in good condition, i dont what the problem could be ?

okay, so 1 month ago i got a blackberry curve 9300 and it worked perfectly fine until the other night.i was talking to my friend on BBM and it froze so i took the battery out and put it back in, it was fine, i thought nothing of it. then the next day it froze again so i took the battery out for two Mins. and it worked again, since then it must have frozen about 20 times now! it froze last night but no matter how hard i tried it still wouldn't work, so i left the battery out all night but it still wont work, and its not under warranty any more.what do i do?x

Easy this one you need a New Track Pad, i had to change one on my Daughters the other day, she had the exact same symptoms as you. EBay sell them for about £3. Make sure you buy the correct one for your phone, BUT if your unsure how to do it Please take it to a specialist. You WILL need special screw drivers and new screws to replace the ones you will round off, all available off EBay. It only takes about 5 mins to do.

The trackpad on my BlackBerry 9300 Curve doesn't work?

I've had my BlackBerry Curve 9300 for about 4 months now, the trackpad on it has seemed to stop working around 2/3 weeks ago, It would only work if you pressed down on the pad really hard until it would scroll but now it doesn't even do that and has completely stopped working. I tried taking the battery out numerous of times for about 30 seconds each and that didn't work. Although one time, I woke up one morning and the scroll was working absolutely fine but again now, it doesn't work what so ever so I have to use the keys on my phone for it to work.

Also yesterday I have found another problem that the left and right side of my phone do not work either.
If you have any ideas how I could fix these problems please leave some suggestions, would really appreciate it. Thank you.

My blackberry curve 9300 doesn't work?

right, I am actually begging you to help me!
I've had my phone 4 months now, and it's just absolute shit. The trackpad stopped working about 3 weeks ago, and last week I took it into repair and they rang me today to say they have my 'new' phone. But then when I got there they told me that Blackberry didn't repair it because of some sort of damage I APPARENTLY did to it, even though it has no damage what so ever except for little scratch on the screen. So they didn't repair my trackpad/phone and because I only have insurance with the bank not with them I'm thinking that's why they won't repair it. Also the bank side won't repair it because it's now on warrenty. But anyways, I just tried to make it work and updated it on my laptop and I now have the new software on there, (but as before my trackpad wasn't working I was still able to use SOME of the applications using the keyboard) but now as I've downloaded this software minutes ago, I can't get this screen off explaining about the Blackberry rules & regulations.. the enter button won't make it go away, neither will the space bar, nothing.. I have no idea what to do?! I'm only 15, and to be honest my parents aren't rich and they're so annoying telling me how they won't buy a new one etc. I actually feel like crying... PLEASE help me! How do I get my phone working?!?!

Wish i could help but doubt i can, except to say your phone is under warranty therefore they should repair it, nothing you have done would have caused the trackpad to go wrong. As for what you have just done, you could try a hard reboot it may reset it back to main screen, remove battery with phone on, wait a few seconds then replace. Maybe an idea to ask your father to take the phone back to be repaired. If its only 4months old then the warranty should certainly cover a trackpad. Sorry cant help you further. May be an idea to put your question in the blackberry forums, just type blackberry forum in search. You may get some better and more helpfull answers.

Blackberry Curve 9300 or Blackberry Curve 9360?

The blackberry curve 9300 (3g) is on sale right now for 150$ with koodo. Meanwhile, the Blackberry curve 9360 was just released with koodo for around 300$ My dad offered to buy me the curve 3g, but the 9360 is too exspensive for him. I kind of really want the 9360 but i dont know which one is really better. So should i just get the 3g now, OR wait until the 9360 goes down in price a bit and buy it myself? which one do you think would be the better option? Do you think its worth the wait? :)

We are actually in the same position right now but, after i did some research and asked a couple of my friends, i learned that the 9300 one is only good for internet such as google and etc. Meanwhile 9360 has a faster operating system, camera flash, 5mega pixels and its way thinner and lighter than 9300 and IT LOOKS SO FREAKIN COOL!. But it actually depends though,if you are a teenager like me, id rather get the 9360 one but if you're like the person who works in downtown and uses internet a lot 9300 would be great for you. Oh btw im with koodo too and you are not actually going to pay 300$ for the 9360 one cause you're going to use the 150 tab and that being said you only have to pay 150$.

Blackberry Curve 9360 or Torch 9800?

Im getting a contract and I would like a Blackberry but I'm stuck between choosing the new curve [9360] or the old torch [9800] I can find deals that are pretty similar in price, with similar amount of mins and texts [data: curve 100mb, torch 250mb but im only usin for bbm really] so thats not an issue. But which one to get....the torch has a touch screen and a larger screen, but the curve has the new BB OS7...and the torch just seems old...advice/experiences please...

Hi, I have had my Iphone 3G now for a while and although its decent, the charge is awful and its lags quite a lot :/ I have looked round and have noticed I can afford the HTC Wildfire S or the new Blackberry Curve 9360. It honestly depends on which type of model phone he has. There are many Blackberry pearls out there.All with different models. Go to phonescoop web site & look up the right pearl phone he has. Find it and click on it. Scroll down a bit and look under battery. See if it says 1150 mAh LiIon. If it does then yes it is compatible and will not. If not it is incompatible and will not work.

My Blackberry Curve 8330 looses battery life even when it's off. Is there anyway to correct this?

Anytime I turn my phone off, it'll stay off and be just fine. But when I turn it on, the battery has gone down-a lot! I don't know what is wrong with it. Am I doing something wrong? Usually I hold down the end button till it goes off. But sometimes I us the special button that says "turn power off." This is ridiculous. I can't even turn my phone off right. Help me please! Sounds like your battery needs to be replaced. Under normal situations, you don't need to turn off the phone as you won't receive calls if it's off. If the battery doesn't last long, then just get a replacement battery. How are you charging the phone? Do you charge it every night even if you didn't use the phone much? This would not be good. As with any batteries, you want to wait until the power has gone down quite a bit (almost dead) before you recharge it.

How does WiFi on a Blackberry Curve (T-Mobile) Work?

I got a new Curve yesterday. I noticed that it has support for WiFi for making calls, emails, etc. I have the blackberry data plan, which is supposed to handle all of this.

So what will WiFi do exactly? Will it just go over a wireless network if one is available, and if so, why? I just have the BB data plan, not the hotspot@home plan.

Wi-Fi on a BlackBerry allows you to make calls over Wi-Fi as well as get emails while making phone calls. If you don't have the HotSpot@Home plan you can still make calls, but it will still take away from your monthly allotment. But it is good if you are in an area where there is limited service.

How can i make my Blackberry ONLY use WIFI internet/connection?

Basically, when i'm indoors or in a wifi hotspot i want my blackberry's internet to connect to that. Ideally i would like it to ONLY USE WIFI, because i haven't got an internet add on with it and going on the internet costs quite a bit. My wifi is connected but when i go on the internet it seems to use gprs is it? to connect, really i would like it to not work at all unless i'm connected to wi-fi connection. Sorry for bad standard of english!

I have an unlocked t-mobile blackberry curve 8320 gprs internet not working when i go to the internet on my blackberry it says this is a wifi service only i tried to change browser type and my only option is hotspot browser and i activated my internet service from my service provider prepaid zain iraq

Blackberry uses Blackberry servers for internet. You've to get a Blackberry Data Plan with your Zain if they have one. You can't get it on Prepaid, you've to use WiFi only.

Blackberry flip Wifi won't connect?

I have received a Blackberry Flip phone for my birthday. I have AT&T but it is an unlocked phone. The phone has a wifi feature and is able to connect to my home network. It will find my home network, ask for my WEP code for security, accurately put it in, and it will say connection successful. However, I try to connect to the internet but I get the error message "Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider."

The WiFi router recognises that the phone is connected and shows the correct Mac & IP addresses. On the manage connections screen i get a checked box Wi-Fi network name in green however, it has a white dash where the green check mark or red X should be.

I have called AT&T. First they said I had to register the new phone with the IMEI. Didn't work. Then they said I needed a data plan if I wanted it to work but I refused to purchase one because I believe that I do not need it since it is WIFI and not the data plan. I called my Internet Provider and they had terrible service, they passed me from representative to tech expert until they hung up on me.

My browser configuration is on "Hotspot Browser" and there is not other options to choose from. I know the wifi in my home works because my friend with an Iphone connected to it and used the internet successfully.

I have tried everything and I am frustrated. I am usually really good with electronics but I feel this is a problem that is very uncommon. I thought about it and I think it has something to do with the fact that this phone, though it is unlocked, is meant for T-Mobile users and I am using an AT&T sim chip (because I have AT&T).

Maybe I really do need a data plan with AT&T for it to work. I don't have a plan and previously, it would charge me as I go. Please, any solutions or help would be appreciated

Like you said, yes your friend can connect to a home wifi because he pay for the iPhone plan data(that's why is cost $30). If you don't have a data plan, AT&T block the Wifi feature. I know this because i have a iPhone 3G.
